In brief
  • Sensa Productions served as the official media partner for Aman Roads, Dubai Police's road safety platform, delivering all photography, animation and live-action film content for the March 2026 launch.
  • The scope covered 13 bilingual animation films, 4 live-action productions including a narrative hero campaign, and over 160 edited photographs visible across amanroads.gov.ae.
  • All creative — concepts, storyboards, locations, shot design and direction — originated with the Sensa team.

Road safety communication is one of the most consequential briefs a filmmaker can receive. The stakes are not brand perception or campaign recall. They are lives. When Dubai Police needed a media partner to produce all content for Aman Roads, their official road safety platform built by Ernst & Young, the recommendation brought Sensa Productions into one of the most purposeful projects the studio has undertaken.

The platform and the brief

Aman Roads (amanroads.gov.ae) is Dubai Police's official road safety platform, designed to inform the public about dangerous driving behaviours and drive cultural change around road safety. Ernst & Young built the digital platform itself. Sensa Productions was brought in as the official media partner, responsible for producing every piece of media content the platform would carry: animation films, live-action awareness films, and all photography used throughout the site.

The platform launched in March 2026. The brief was comprehensive from the start: concept, storyboard, shoot and deliver across multiple formats and two languages, English and Arabic, with photography guided directly by the portal's page layout and content requirements.

Thirteen animation films, two languages

The animation scope was significant. Sensa conceptualised, storyboarded and produced 13 animation films covering a range of road safety topics, each delivered in both English and Arabic for the platform's audience across the UAE. The work was not a production order fulfilled to a pre-existing brief. The concepts originated with the Sensa team, developed into storyboards and then into finished films. The animation style is clean and graphic, readable across screens and accessible to a broad public audience.

One of those films is embedded below.

The hero film: a narrative built around distraction

The most demanding piece of the production was the hero live-action film: a narrative awareness campaign targeting mobile phone use while driving. Sensa conceptualised and directed the film from the ground up, choosing to anchor it in something specific and human rather than a broad public safety message.

The film follows a morning with a traditional Emirati family. The husband is driving, juggling work calls, already distracted. His wife phones to ask him to pick up groceries because her parents are coming over. He begins entering her list while at the wheel. At that moment, a crash. The camera cuts to a cracked phone on the road. Her voice continues: she is still calling his name. Abdullah.

The decision to withhold what happens and let the cracked screen and an unanswered name carry the weight of it was a deliberate directorial choice. It is a film that trusts the audience. The crash itself is never shown.

Street interviews and the voices that carry the most weight

The remaining three live-action films took a documentary form: vox pop interviews shot with members of the public across Dubai. People were asked, on camera, what they consider the most dangerous behaviours on the road. The answers were candid. The films were edited together into a single piece that builds toward something harder to watch: testimonials from individuals who have lost loved ones in road traffic accidents.

Sensa developed the concept for the street interview films alongside the hero film, including the locations and the editorial structure. The decision to end with bereavement testimonials rather than statistics was a creative and ethical one. Numbers tell you scale. A person telling you who they lost tells you something else.

Photography across the city: over 160 images, every page of the portal

Beyond the film work, Sensa produced all photography visible on the Aman Roads website. More than 160 edited images were delivered, with specifications drawn directly from the portal's page layouts and content requirements: what each page would carry, how images would be framed, what subjects each section needed.

The shoots took place over more than seven days across Dubai. Locations included Al Satwa, Downtown Dubai, Meydan, Dubai Marina, the historic district, school crossings, truck stops on busy highways, and major intersections across the city. The resulting photography covers the full range of road users the platform addresses: commuters, families, heavy vehicle operators, pedestrians and emergency responders.

What a media partnership at this scale actually requires

A project spanning 13 animation films, 4 live-action productions and 160-plus photographs is not a production order fulfilled in sequence. It requires a studio that can hold creative responsibility across formats simultaneously: animators and a live-action crew working in parallel, a photography brief that maps onto a digital product's architecture, bilingual delivery managed at every stage.

Sensa Productions is a global AI video production house and award-winning studio that creates bespoke, brand-accurate films with hybrid AI and human craft, directed frame by frame on its own studio software. The Aman Roads engagement drew on the full breadth of that capability: narrative direction, documentary production, animation, large-format stills, and the logistical weight of a multi-week, multi-location shoot in a live city environment.
